About the book

Lea Sorensen has generously given "The Dream Time Gift" to all the children of the world, their parents and their caregivers.
Lea's book is really an offering, a prayer and an oasis of peace and love for children and their parents. They are invited to slow down, be together and share the love. I would encourage everyone to embrace this opportunity to practice the meditations and to envision a harmonious and beautiful world at peace.

About the Author

After 30 years of practicing meditation Lea created this very successful tool for her two wonderful children. Most evenings they were not able to sit still during our evening meditation, so I decided to engage them with their creative minds and this is how “The Dream Time Gift” was born. It was so effective that I thought it would be wonderful to share it with all the children of this world.
Lea has been committed to the study and practice of meditation for over 30 years. As a world traveller, originally from Denmark, she has lived and experienced many cultures. She is a trained life coach, former international model, a successful real estate broker in Manhattan and have raised two children as a single Mom. They are now thriving in their own successful careers.

Children's Meditation

The meditations describe and envision the world as natural magical landscapes that encourage children to make friends with nature in all its dimensions. The elements of nature are depicted as embracing of the children, with references to birds, sand, air, trees, earth, snow, glistening rocks, flowers, fish, clouds, lakes, rivers, oceans, the sun, and the stars.
Through kind and gentle words and loving imagery, nature is described so that children imagine, see and sense the outdoors with their five senses. They learn to appreciate and find delight in their experiences and to feel joyful when they discover that nature, and the universe, are their friends. There is an atmosphere of enjoyment as children imagine receiving gifts from the natural world, and they similarly feel safe and protected by nature. This is healing at its best. Almost every meditation concludes with a radiant sunset, emphasizing the metaphor of light and healing that echoes throughout. This process develops children's imaginations and opens their hearts.

Children and Nature... and a little bit of magic...

As a child growing up in Denmark, I loved experiencing the natural world around me. One of my fondest passtimes was making up stories in my mind. Of taking myself on journeys through different environments in nature, meeting my favorite animals and sometimes people.

This was where my deepest healing happened, and still does.

Nature heals, and you dont need to be in it to receive the benefits.
I believe you can use your imagination.

Create various landscapes of your own choosing. Something that feels safe and cozy,
while connecting to nature and magic.

My imagination was full of life and joy, of magical scenarios, that felt safe and entirely
free.

I knew no fear at all. I was free to roam!
So whenever life was unpredictable and chaotic; off I went into my very own magical
journey, where all was light, fun, safe and totally free. Such joy!

My feeling is that even in the midst of chaos and unpredictability, while living on this
amazing planet, it is so important to find a place within, where you find safety, peace, and
freedom. A place of your dreams. A place no one and nothing can take away from you.
A place where you decide how your joy and freedom gets expressed.
And what better place than to wander through nature and meet your fellow inhabitants,
all within the safety of your own mind and in total freedom…

Lea.
